We've never played Spenserslive before, we're looking forward to it! Get your bookin' on by calling 1300 GET TIX (1300 438 849) or at the Moshtix Website.
We're starting off 2010 with a very cruisy Sunday afternoon pub show at the Workers Club on Brunswick St, Fitzroy. It's a laid-back chance to hear some of the new tunes we've been working on and have a few quiet brews on a lazy Sunday.
When? Sunday 21st February, doors at 4pm, we're on closer to 5pm.
In the face of some absolutely amazing competition, we were absolutely STOKED to take home second prize at the 2009 Taiwan International A Cappella Festival.
So stoked that Roy went absolutely bonkers. What more can we say? Onya Roy!
If you dig the massive, stirring sound of a Welsh Male Choir, then c'mon down and join us on Feb 27 as we get together with the enormous Melbourne Welsh Male Choir for a bit of a sing. We're doing a couple of feature sets, including a song in Welsh - so if anyone needs any consonants, we'll have plenty to spare.

If you dig singing, sing in a group of your own, or would like to get involved with a cappella, you need to know about this: as part of our commitment to growing the vocal music scene in Australia, the Colonel has teamed up with Mealz from Vocal Folds 4 to start a new a cappella association - Vocal Australia.
The main aims of the association are to:
Develop and promote contemporary a cappella music in Australia
Build a solid reputation for Australian groups internationally
Get people in the Aussie vocal music scene working together
In this spirit, they're in the process of organising the Get Vocal festival - a contemporary vocal music festival in Melbourne. Get Vocal is a series of workshops, concerts, masterclasses and social events from May 5th-9th 2010 at Chapel Off Chapel, Prahran. Suade and VF4 will be there, as well as a number of other great Melbourne groups - and the guys are set to announce some very special guests.
It's gonna be a great event for all sorts of singers - people in contemporary groups who wanna meet others in the scene, strut their stuff, swap ideas and learn from some of the best in the business - and even solo singers who want to experience a cappella singing, make some connections and maybe join or start a group.
Made in 20 minutes, and with a total budget of $3.95 for the rubber chicken, we present to you our first ever video clip - and we challenge you not to crack a grin.
The song, of course, is 'Giving you a Cuddle for Christmas,' and you can find it over in the MP3 store. Hope you have a great holiday season, with plenty o' cuddles!
We really had no idea what we were in for when we stepped off the plane in Taipei - Taiwan is a virtually unknown travel destination for Australians. All we know about the place is that everything seems to be made there. Still, we'd chosen Taiwan as our first international trip because of the large and well-regarded TCMC international a cappella competition, and we were up for whatever the trip would bring.
At the airport we were greeted by our two guides Christine and Cello, who quickly became great friends, despite our incessant, excited questioning.
We've just received a great bit of news in the middle of the Taiwan leg of our 2009 tour: America's Recorded A Cappella Review Board, RARB, has just given Home Brew 4 stars and a thorough review over at the RARB.org website.
A couple of quotes:
"A down-home, labor-of-love feel that comes across charmingly. The combination makes for a readily accessible and pleasing album that is a joy to hear and review." - Thomas King
"Of the originals, Cheeky Girl stands out for its quirkiness, and Living Enough stands out for its passion. And then there's Singing In My Underpants, which stands out by its very nature. Oh my! Suade is a ridiculously fun group, and there are some nice moments on Home Brew. With stronger production and arrangement experimentation, they could have a real winner."
- Kimmie Raschka Sailor
"[Suade] have hit a home run with this album. It's very easy on the ears, and just plain fun to hear. The group simply sounds great: always great blend, good solos (although none that made my jaw drop), and they basically just sound like they are having a blast all through the album." - John Colton
Suade is a five-part male a cappella vocal group based in Melbourne, Australia. That's five guys singing, each with a microphone and nothing else. No band, no backing tracks. Vocal bands like this are big internationally but pretty uncommon in Australia. Read more.
